The great story of
La Roulotte à Patates de Gentilly

New in Gentilly!
Paul Bécotte creates a springtime meeting place: La Roulotte à Patates. Saturday, May 4, 1946, in the parking lot of the Hôtel Dubord. On the menu: Fries .05¢, Hot-Dog .05¢, Liqueur .05¢ (on Fridays, the sausage will be replaced by fries with butter and/or mustard). We look forward to seeing you there! N.B. There will be a chore of folding French fries for the occasion. Thanks to : Roberte Trottier for the idea of selling French fries! Yvette Beaudoin-Baril for 20 years of peeling potatoes by hand!
Good news!
The caravan has left its four-wheeler, and the horse has retired. Thanks to the good care of Robert Hould, the red and white now travels on a 1936 Chevrolet witha one-gallon tank gallon tank ( by the way, we're looking forsomeone to push it because we ran out of gas last night on the way home).us). Come and meet us at our new site at Restaurant Fernand Tourigny (Vieux Tilly). Our thanks to: Canon Letendre; the parish priest who gave us his permission; Guy Trottier, our first employee!
Notice to all!
The trailer moves again! Following the acquisition of the Gentilly Knitting Miles building, the trailer is moving to this new site. All Gentilly residents and visitors are invited to join us. New on the menu: poutine! We look forward to seeing you there!
New administration!
It's now Pierre Bécotte, Paul's youngest son, who takes over: for 15 years he has maintained the old trailer, making repairs every year. His last trip to its wintering place was in 1999, and it nearly caught fire en route, so...a change is in order!
A beautiful new trailer!
The potato is built a little bigger and taller....no more bending over to wash dishes! With the help of Micheline Laurin, his partner, we'll be adding smoked-meat poutine and Italian poutine. Chicken thighs and breasts and the famous Hot Dog Supreme are also on the menu!

Administration gets younger...
Julie Desbiens, Pierre Bécotte 's daughter-in-law and a La Patate employee since 1993, is now the new owner. Same service! Same recipes! With a few new ones like pizza roll, Will-dog and Incendie poutine!!!!
La Roulotte is 75 years old!
We're celebrating in style with a new website, online ordering, delivery and Le Chili à Pépé!
La Roulotte à Patates goes green!
Eco-responsible actions make their appearance. Styrofoam has been replaced by real, unbreakable melamine crockery! Many takeaway containers are now reusable. A sorting station and a new sustainable terracehave arrived. Mini portions to avoid food waste. These actions have brought us huge environmental benefits , including the removal of our huge waste container!

Recognition has been piling up, inspiring those around us to take care of our beautiful planet too:
